It all started with Frank Link, a true comic pioneer who opened Comic Universe to bring the magic of comics outside the city and into Delco’s backyard. Frank built a shop that focused on what mattered most: great books, deep back-issue bins, wall books that stop you in your tracks, and a vibe that made everyone (from hardcore collectors to curious kids) feel welcome.

When Frank retired after four decades, the torch passed to John Daly Jr., a retired U.S. Marine whose life story is just as heroic as the books on our shelves. John, who spent decades serving overseas, stepped in at just the right moment to keep Comic Universe alive. For John, this place wasn’t just a business, it was the same neighborhood shop where he fell in love with comics as a kid reading Secret Wars. Under John’s watch, Comic Universe stayed true to its roots and remained proudly veteran-owned. A place where loyalty, service, and community matter.

Today, Michael Grant carries the mission forward. A lifelong comic fan and collector, Mike is determined to make sure Comic Universe stays what it’s always been: a fun, welcoming haven where fans can talk shop, hunt for key issues, and feel right at home. Whether you’re here for Silver Age classics, fresh new releases, CGC slabs, vintage toys, or just a good conversation about the latest big Marvel or DC arc.
